About TimTim Moorhouse qualified with a first class honours degree in Herbal Medicine from the University of Central Lancashire and is also a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH). He has been fascinated by healing from an early age and this initially led him to become a Counsellor in 1994. Following many years working in the NHS, and while still continuing his counselling practice, he decided to follow his dream of becoming a herbalist and began his official studies. His interest in herbal medicine is wide ranging, from researching herb drug interactions for his dissertation, to exploring the debate around the use of fresh or dried plant materials in medicine making. In his work with patients he brings dedication to providing excellence in diagnosis and treatment, as well as a wealth of experience and skills in working with emotional and psychological wellbeing. He believes that many of the medicines that we need are growing all around us, and is committed to gathering and producing many of the herbs in the teas and tinctures used in his practice. He enjoys working with a wide range of people and welcomes all ages, genders, races, sexualities and ablities to his practice in Whalley Range. |
